About Corélie Royce Malcaba
I began painting in oils in 1977, at the age of nine, under the instruction of Margaret Parr Eignus, an artist and former missionary to Africa. She had a profound impact on me, not just artistically but personally in the way she shared her knowledge, techniques, and wisdom without reservation. She encouraged me to paint from my mind, but also to seek truth in nature. In the early 2000’s, I studied watercolor with Catherine Anderson and abstract painting with Sharon Satterwhite. Beginning in 2021, I started studying landscape painting with contemporary impressionist, Steve Parker. Some of my work has been exhibited at the Watercolor Art Society of Houston, the offices of Schlumberger, and MDPC in Houston. I am a member of Oil Painters of America.
